The history of the hotel began in 1946 by the founding of the sanatorium "Russia". Even then it was a favorite place of public personalities and party elite. Stella Kalashyan met with the representatives of RODINA Grand Hotel & SPA Maria Efimova and Ekaterina Muravskaya in Sochi and found out all the details of the events organization.
Your hotel is located in a park with relic plants and at the same time on the coast. Tell me more about the features of this location.
RODINA Grand Hotel & SPA in Sochi is located in the heart of the large subtropical park measuring 15 hectares.
This place has a very rich history. There was a sanatorium "Russia" in the 70's, it was visited by famous people, popular actors and heroes of labor. For example, Yuri Gagarin was very fond of resting here.
After a complete reconstruction in 2006, the hotel received the status of a "boutique hotel", gained a unique classic mature style. The Villa was rebuilt in 2014, it's interiors are completely different from the airiness and romantic atmosphere of the Grand Hotel.
One of the main advantages of the hotel is the exclusive conditions for the whole wedding cycle: from pre-wedding preparation (bachelorette and stag parties, procedures for the bride in the Spa) to the exit registration with a banquet and an unforgettable honeymoon.
Also we have the opportunity to close the whole hotel for the wedding. Averagely we organize about 20-30 weddings per year.
What about rooms in the hotel? Which kind of rooms do you offer to the newlyweds?
The hotel has 60 design rooms: 40 rooms in the Grand building (22 Deluxe rooms with an area of 45 m2, 12 - Junior Suite of 65 m2 and 6 luxury Deluxe Suite of 162 m2) and 20 rooms in a separate building. Villa in the heart of the park (5 Superior rooms with an area of 44-54 m2, 4 Deluxe rooms each of 51-64 m2, 9 Junior Suites each of 63-80 m2 and 2 Executive Suites from 90 to 120 m2)
Often, it is the rooms at the Villa, that we offer to the newlyweds.
All categories of rooms are absolutely individual, each is made in its own style, but with using only eco-materials. By the way, for the creation of interiors were invited Suzanne Lochier and Patrick Brygman -court decorators of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Also for the newlyweds we offer Deluxe Suit. This is a spacious room of 160m2 with a terrace, a truly royal bed, a large dressing room and a glazed rotunda with a stunning view.
When newlyweds order a banquet, we provide the room as a gift. Compliment from the hotel upon arrival and romantic room decoration serve is as a rule of good taste.
What opportunities and services do you offer to the newlyweds who chose your hotel for the wedding?
We are ready to offer a support at any stage of preparation for an important event.
We have the largest SPA in Europe. Here you can arrange a bride party or a bachelor party, go through detox, care, rejuvenation with modern injections, or book a spa treatment for two. In the beauty salon professional make-up artists and hairdressers will help to choose a perfect look for the celebration. We use only premium cosmetics: Phytomer (France), Guinot (France), Comfort Zone (Italy), La Ric (Austria), Kydra by Phyto (France), Christina Fitzgerald (Australia), La Biosthetique (France), Eliokap (Italy), Juliette Ormand, Aromatherapy (United Kingdom). It is also possible to have a picnic in the garden for a bride party or a stag party.
We have several exclusive locations for the romantic registration - the seashore, an evergreen dendrological park, a terrace with a panoramic view. Each of the locations is unique in its own way. In the park, for example, there are centenary trees and an orchard, in which persimmon, fig, feijoa, pomegranates, kiwi grow. From the terrace "Heaven" there’re breathtaking views to Sochi, the Black Sea, the subtropical park and the mountain peaks. And the coast making the bride's dream of a European wedding by the sea come true.
As additional services, to the newlyweds offered, are: a transfer by car AUDI A8 Long, services of a florist, photographer, confectioner. We also cooperate with many event-agencies and ready to help in organizing a festive performance or invite your favorite band.
How many halls do you have for the event?
We specialize at small family weddings in a European style, but our venues allow to have large-scale events.
In the warm season (from May to October), couples choose open areas. In case of bad weather, we propose to install a tent. You can also have a wedding in the panoramic restaurant "Heaven", it can accommodate up to 300 guests.
The rest of the time they choose restaurants. The restaurant "Black Magnolia" is elegant and very stylish. Interior, inspired by one of the autumn collections of Paco Raban, designed in dark colors with bright accents of lilac.
The "Lili" bar is comfortable too. The spaciousness of the hall, the huge picture windows, the gorgeous view to the sunsets and the proximity to the "Black Magnolia", where the guests continue the evening, make it ideal for receptions and a welcome cocktail.
Sometimes we also use our other restaurants: "Moscow", "Villa", BSBC and the "Library" hall.
What about the kitchen in the hotel? Tell us about your chef.
In the classical menu there are dishes of European and traditional Russian cuisine, as well as author's dishes.
We make individual offer of the menu and ready to discuss wishes of the guests. Our Brand – the chef Denis Krupenya - a famous chef with almost 20-year experience. He is an admirer of amazing gastronomic and visual combinations, with special interesting approaches to non-trivial tasks.
As for catering, we are ready to do almost any dish: any kind of banquet and buffet table, including visiting, wedding cake with individual design, gift treats for guests (sweets, cakes of own production, cupcakes and berry confiture).
A representative of our hotel prepares each offer individually, after meeting with guests and discussing their wishes.
The cost of a buffet table, including snacks, low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages ranges from 2 100 rubles per person. When carrying out a banquet, the cost per person is from 6,000 rubles. Renting any open and covered area does not provide a fee when ordering food services for the amount of 100,000 rubles.
